Meet the Orthodontist
Dr. Howland, a native of Northern Illinois, SE Wisconsin, has been serving these areas since 1967. He received his Bachelors degree from University of Illinois in 1955. Dr. Howland graduated from the University of Illinois Dental School in 1957. His internship was served at Letterman Army Hospital in San Francisco 1957-1958. He was the Division Dental Surgeon of the 82nd Airborne from 1958-1961 in the US Army. He attended Graduate School 1961-1963 at the University of Illinois, receiving his certificate in Orthodontics and Masters in Physiology. He was Chief Orthodontist in Heidelberg, Germany from 1963-1967 and Fort Knox, KY in 1967. He practiced in Crystal Lake, Illinois from 1967 to 2006, and currently practices in Delavan, Wisconsin where he has been since 1990. He is an Invisalign® Cerftified Provider.
Dr. Howland is currently a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Wisconsin Dental Association, Wisconsin Association of Orthodontics, Treasurer of the Burlington Dental Society, American Dental Association, and the European Orthodontic Society; and in the past has served as the President of the McHenry Dental Society, and been a member of the Germany Orthodontic Society,Illinois Dental Society, Illinois Orthodontic Society Society.
Dr. Howland resides in Delavan, WI where he enjoys wind sailing, boating, sailing, photography, woodworking, and downhill/cross country skiing. He is presently involved with the LaGrange Methodist Church as treasurer of the Lagrange Methodist Diner. He was previously involved with the Kiwanis, Cub Scouts, YMCA, Cedar Point Park Association, and the Geneva Lake Conservatory. Dr. Howland’s favorite activities are square dancing, boating, and wind sailing. Dr. Howland is committed to providing excellent care. It has been his goal to serve people through dentistry, more specifically, orthodontics. It is very satisfying to see people develop healthy smiles, and the self-confidence that goes along with that.
